'it doesnt surprise me because there is killings everyday. i mean there is nowhere really safe these days.' now at 5- a violent weekend in milwaukee as our city sees 7 shootings in less than a 12 hour span. now this morning more reports of violent attacks come into our newsroom. the latest on the investigations. may have caused the death of a baby girl in milwaukee. the latest on that investigation. rob joins us now with more on the weather.
traffic map = major delays yellow on traffic map = some delays green on traffic map = no delays it has been a violent weekend in milwaukee...and overnight at least two more people are shot least nine shot since saturday...two of those people were killed. fox6's deandra corinthios is live from the police administration building with the latest. milwaukee police are investigating two separate shootings from overnight...less than an hour apart. just after midnight monday...near 43rd and silver spring milwaukee police say two men were shot when the confronted another man in the alley behind their homes. the suspect fled on foot. the victims are 38
taken to the hospital for treatment of non life threatening injuries. then ...around one am ...officers are called to another shooting at 24th and townsend. so far police have not released any information on that shooting. over the weekend...there were a number of shootings..two of which were fatal. there was a homicide at 38th and meinecke...a 24 year old man from kenosha was killed on saturday. and at 66th and lisbon on saturday...two men in their twenties were shot...one of them was killed. a woman is also in critical condition...after being sh morning. police say the suspect is a woman...and this followed an argument at a nearby club. "its not really any particular area and that because it is bad regardless, anywhere you go, it is not safe really" "it is not a better environment to raise your kids in areas like this you know it is every day the shooting, every day you wake up, everywhere you go" three other shootings were reported saturday afternoon....
side. those victims suffered non-life threatening injuries. reporting live in milwaukee dc fox6 news. an autopsy is expected to take place today, in order to figure out exactly how an infant died over the weekend. the milwaukee county medical examiner's office was called to the area of 28th and wells early sunday morning. family members tell us the baby is a three month old girl. there was no indication on how the baby may have died at this point. accused of drowning his son in a lake will be in court. police say 25-year-old sean flowers got into an argument with the 3-month- old's mother back in august. that's when investigators say he waded into the pond-- with the baby-- near 76th and brown deer road. when a witness tried and save the baby-- flowers allegedly only swam out into deeper water. and a a kenosha mother has pleaded guilty to killing her two children. 35-year-old lucia hernandez-alvarez pleaded
2015 deaths of her 1-year-old son and 3-year-old daughter. she was accused of killing them by giving them pain medication to make them sleep, then smothering them with plastic bags. hernandez-alvarez told police she'd been sad'' before the killings and was worried the children's father was going to leave her. a trial on her mental state is next month. a man is in custody after aiming a gun at police and pulling the trigger. west bend police were called to edgewood lane el morning for reports of shots fired. when they approached the suspect he tried to fire at officers, howver the gun misfired. officers managed to get to safety but then a tactical situation began when the 24-year-old suspect ran inside. after several hours the gunman was arrested after several hours. the 24-year-old faces two counts of attempted homicide of an officer and intoxicated use of a firearm. you decide coverage now-- this weekend brought a flurry of tweets from donald trump and other conservatives concerning conspiracy against
